Digger: One of the best comics on the web ever. Funny, with pop-culture and Pratchett references and excellent footnotes and reader comments. Also surprisingly emotive at times and contains the best working definition of evil you will ever find in a comic. Contains Wombats, and is black and white perfection.

Harry Potter. I wouldn't mind, but I am not the worlds biggest fan. I'll read them and enjoy it, but I don't take them seriously and I am mildly amused every time someone sends up the hype. Frankly I laughed out loud when i saw, the day after harry potter and the half-blood prince came out, a billboard over the M25 declaring "Dumbledor Dies. Ha Ha!" I wouldn't mind if the newly released final book ends "Rocks fall, everybody dies." or ends, as Rhys suggested, mid sentence 12 pages in followed by an entire book of pictures of JK Rowling pointing and laughing as she rubes herself with handfuls of fifty pound notes.
How to get a train ticket. (from recent personal experience).
Step one. Go to national rail enquires on-line and go through the many stages to find the train you need.
Step two. discover that you cannot perchance tickets from the first website rail enquires directs you to once you have found the train you want, find out their link page has timed out, go through the process of finding the train you wanted again from scratch, and go to a second website, First Great Western.
Step Three. Go through the exact same steps as the national rail enquires website to find the train again and purchase tickets.
Step four. Discover that your local station has no ticket collection machine and so you cannot collect tickets purchased in the internet and so have to pay either £6 for next day postal delivery, or £8 for same day delivery.
Step five. Swear. Lots.
Step six. Go to the train station the next day. There will be no parking.
Step seven. Wait in a queue for ten minutes. After this time you will become aware of a strange deamonic mumbling around the edge of the hearing range, that seems to be whispering "Chutulu Flaggen" over and over again.
Step eight. Realize this sound is in fact the public address system calling you to step forward to the booth to purchase a ticket. By this time you have kept the cashier waiting five minutes as she screamed into a microphone, the only purpose of which was to cancel out the sound of her voice entirely and replace it with these non-Euclidean curses. She will now not want to sell you a ticket, but is probably on the verge of calling security/sticking pins in a wax poppet with your likeness/eating your soul.
Step nine. stand there as the cashier tells you that advanced bookings (i.e. any ticket not being purchased to be used that day) must be handled at the "travel advice center" where "helpful staff will help you with finding your ideal train time and price." The pleas you already know the ideal time, price, and even the booking number and when and where to change trains will be lost on her as she yells "Breasts!" Before this went into the microphone this was possibly "Next!"
Step ten. discover the "travel advice center" in a closet with glass walls so all the real passengers can point and laugh at the twits queuing inside. Read the sign "Please take a number and wait until called. Without a number you cannot be served." Find the paper-number dispenser is broken and appears to have been for some time. Sit down by the door and wait like everyone else.
Step eleven. Go to open the door for elderly people with bags, ladies ect. Discover that of the double doors the only one that does not open into the crowd has been bolted shut at the top of the frame. The people you open the door for will therefore glare at you and steal your chair.
Step 12. After half an hour approach the one member of staff manning the mile long counter and ask for a ticket. He will, even when you say in the first 30 second what train number, ticket class and time you want to travel on, insist on giving you all the options. "do you want to go first class sir?" "would you like our carry-on bike service?" "do you own a senior citizens or young persons railcard of both?"
Step 13. Marvel at the possibility of owning a senior citizens and a young person’s railcard simultaneously.
Step 14. purchase ticket and get out after a mere fourthly minutes or so. Discover you have paid a slim £21.50 (aprox 40 us$) for a ticket that will take you two-hundred kilometers and was apparently sold at such a heavy discount that no refunds are possible under any circumstances and the rail survive-provider (oxymoron alert) does not guarantee that the trains will be a, on time b, running to or from where that say they will or c, have room for you to sit down.
Step 15. Go home and Blog/ Fall over/Cry/Get drunk
