Google adverts; using an arbitrary computer program to assign adverts to pages based only on what other pages link to them and the occurrence of certain keywords....
You add one Gay guy to your friends list on Vox and despite the fact you are heterosexual they stick adverts for gay dating services in the bottom of your blog... Dammit, this could lead to awkward questions...
